Baseball Party Favors

2 Mins read

Baseball season is in full swing! When my kids were smaller, I remember a lot of people telling me how crazy our schedules would get when our kids got older and were more involved in sports and other activities. I always thought, how bad can it be?? I am finding out now that they weren’t kidding. When I was little, we would play a sport for a few months and it would be over with. Now, kids are playing sports all year round! That is so true with baseball. My son started playing baseball for the first time (besides t-ball when he was younger) last year and I couldn’t believe how long the season lasted.

We were not even done with basketball last year and practices started for baseball. One thing I can say about such a long season is that I felt like I got to know all of the parents and kids on the team better than any other sport he has played. We spent so much time together at tournaments, practices and games that we really got to know everyone. These baseball party favors were something I put together for the kids after one of the games.

Supplies Used To Make These Baseball Party Favors:

Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats®

Baseballs

Razor Knife

Hammer

A Nail

Red Yarn

We have tons of baseballs so using a couple for this snack was not a big deal. I was able to make two snacks per baseball. I found that the soft tee-ball balls are the easiest to take apart.

To start, I washed the balls. I didn’t want them to be “spot free”, but I did want them clean.

I cut the baseballs apart by running a razor knife in between the stitching.

Now that I have the “wrap” for my treat, I needed to poke some holes in them. I did this with a hammer and a big nail. I put a board under the baseball piece to make sure I didn’t drive the nail through my table. Then, I put the holes about 2.5″ from the ends.

Once I had the holes done, I put red yard through them.

Then, I put the Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats® inside, wrapped it and tied the yarn in a bow.
