Today, I am over at HomeRight, sharing a salsa recipe I made on the fly.
Recipes like this are the best kind. Nothing to lose, just trying new ways to cook things and see what you can come up with. The pressure is off and if you are cooking with good ingredients that your family loves and grows, you can’t go wrong.
I am so glad we picked up the small cast iron table top grill at a yard sale this spring. It is so much fun being able to cook different things right on the table. Summer is our favorite time to make salsas and grilled veggies. I decided to try them together and see how it came out! The family liked it! It was so easy to do and it is a perfect way to cook outdoors on the table and have the whole family get involved. The salsa tasted roasted and it was great on pieces of baguette served warm and even better the next day served with blue corn chips cold.
Next time, I want to try a fruit salsa with grilled fruit. I think it would be so good served with cinnamon and sugar tortilla chips! Healthier dessert, alfresco style! You can beat that!
I love being able to start my own fires when I want to cook this way. No need to have the hubby do it. The HomeRight tool makes it a cinch.
