DIY Dollar Store Fall Garland Craft

This DIY Dollar Store Fall Garland Craft could not be any easier and the outcome looks like you spent a lot of time and/or money on it. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

I did this same concept last winter when I made a DIY Wood Tree Garland for Christmas.

I loved the look of that garland so much that when I saw the wood pumpkins and leaves at the Dollar Tree, I wanted to try the same idea and create some fall garlands as well.

Whenever I decorate for a new season or holiday, I always come across a couple of areas where I just need to add a little something to fill the spot. Garlands are great for that because you can hang them or set them anywhere you need. You can make them long or short and you can customize them to fit your style perfectly.

Supplied Needed To Make This DIY Dollar Store Fall Garland Craft:

Heat gun

Wood Fall Cutout Ornaments

Bakers Twine (any twine or string will work)

Wood Beads (after I did my video, I decided to add wood beads between the leaves)

Here is my video showing how I put the garland together and some of my favorite tips I use when creating decor like this:

I love wood tones and natural decor. I didn’t even think about adding the beads until I was doing the video. I love the look of the wood beads between the cutouts, so I had to take my initial garland apart and add some beads.

The beads make the garland more substantial to me, but you don’t have to add them at all.

This garland takes minutes to make. It is one of those projects you can do while watching your favorite TV show or listening to an audiobook or podcast.

I made several garlands from the wood leaves and pumpkins I bought.

I made some garlands with just pumpkins and some with just leaves and then I made some that had leaves and pumpkins on them.

I love how they look. If I make any more, I think I want to pick up some twine for the string. I had the baker’s twine on hand, but I love the look of natural twine a lot better for garlands like this.

Simple projects that I can create from dollar store purchases are a huge win in my book.
