This flower wreath idea came to me after I was out hunting at some of the first yard sales this spring.
The best thing about yard sales for me is the hunt. I never know what I am going to find and I am inspired the entire time I am out hunting. When I see things that grab my attention, my mind starts racing with creative ideas.
I have shared all kinds of yard sale finds here on the blog and the projects that came about from them and today is no different. Today, I am sharing one of the easiest and fastest projects I have ever done. There are no tools involved in this flower wreath.

Supplies Needed To Make This Flower Wreath:
I love old, vintage fans and whenever I see them at yard sales, I pick them up. We have small vintage fans and two of the bigger fans. I love the way they look and use them as decor in our home. Last weekend while I was at a yard sale, I found these beautiful foam roses on wire stems for $3 and had to bring them home.
I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but there were so many of them and they were such great colors so they had to come home with me. When I get things at a sale and I don’t know what I am going to do with them right away, they end up in my office. This time however, as soon as I brought the roses to my office, I had a plan for them.
This fan is in my office.
It is the perfect base for a ombre rose flower wreath, right?!
Since the foam roses were on wire stems, this project was so simple. I worked from dark to light and wrapped the wire stems around the face of the fan. EASY!
When I got it all done, the back didn’t look like this because I bent the wires even more so they weren’t all sticking out but I wanted to show you how I was doing it.
In the end, if there were holes, I just stuck a rose in it and wrapped the wire stem wherever it landed.
I thought this would be a great addition to any summer party table, wedding table or graduation table. It is a little bit rustic and a lot of bit pretty.
When Gabrielle came home after school and saw what I made, she immediately asked if she could have it in her room. Of course! Now, it is on top of the wardrobe piece we made over for her bedroom. She loves it!
Making wreaths in different ways is so much fun. This flower wreath is not something you would normally see and you can’t hang it on the wall, but if I ever run into more fans for cheap, I may just remove the face of them and make this flower wreath so I can hang them on the wall. They would be a beautiful gallery wall with different sized fan faces and different flowers.
