How To Start A Chalk Couture Business
I have been sharing Chalk Couture projects for over a year now. I have made all kinds of things with the transfers, Chalkology Paste and ink. Some of my favorite projects were the DIY Christmas Pillow Covers With Chalk Couture, DIY Box Made With Chalk Couture, Kitchen Chalkboard Sign and this wood box makeover. I get a lot of questions about the Chalk Couture products, but I am getting more and more questions from people asking how to start a Chalk Couture business, so I thought I would write a post dedicated to just that.
If you aren’t sure what Chalk Couture is, make sure to head to my Beginner’s Guide To Chalk Couture post that explains what Chalk Couture is. Starting a Chalk Couture business is easy to do, inexpensive and you can be up and running in no time.
Start-Up Costs & Fees To Start A Chalk Couture Business
You will need to get a starter kit to start your business. The start kit costs $99, but is worth more than $250!
Right now, the starter kit includes the following supplies:
What Are The Advantages Of Having A Chalk Couture Business?
- The best advantage and the reason I signed up as an Independent Designer is because you get 40% off all of your orders! You can order inventory to sell in shops and markets or host local “Make-N-Takes” that you can charge for. For me, I stock up for myself.
- You get 25% of all online orders. You don’t have to pack or ship anything… just sell the products online easily!
- You will receive the exclusive, monthly transfer that goes to monthly subscribers of Club Couture.
- If you start building a team below you, you will earn money from their sales too!
- You get to be part of a community that is amazingly creative like you!
- If you decide you don’t want to be a designer for any reason, it is easy to close your shop with no questions asked.
Extra Advantages For Signing Up On My Team
I became an Independent Designer with Chalk Couture a little over a year ago. One of my blogging friends and mentors had discovered it and thought I would love it. She was right. There is something about being able to create something that doesn’t take a lot of time and effort. I love to be creative, but sometimes, I don’t want to go through all the hassle. Chalk Couture makes it so easy. I can create all kinds of things in minutes.
Another advantage of signing up on my team is that you will be a part of our Chalk Couture group we have created and you will have access to our private Facebook group. Our team gives you SO MUCH support and help with the business.
You DO NOT have to be a pushy salesperson at all. I am not good at pushing things, but I do love to share things that I am loving and that are working for me. That is how I share it with my audience. I share the projects I am doing and then I get people contacting me from there.
You may want to sign up as an Independent Designer to get the discounts so you can make handmade goods to sell. Or, you have fallen in love with the products and love to create and just want to get the products cheaper. Both of those are just fine. I have many people on my team who are doing it that way.
If you want to build a big team under you, but don’t know how to train them, our group with walk you through all of the steps and guide you through the process. The process is very easy and when you love what you do and love the products you are sharing, that makes it even easier. You will be able to recruit people in no time. The more designers you have under you, the more money you make.
You Are Ready To Sign Up! Now What?
First, CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP.
You will come to a form to fill out. The name, address and phone number are easy. The store name is what you want your shop to be named. Some people have a hard time with this part. I tell new people to use their name. You will also need to fill in your email and create a password.
Next, you will follow through with your payment information so you can order your starter kit and you are ready to go! It takes about a week to get your starter kit. I love it when people sign up because I know how much fun they are going to have once they receive the kit and start experimenting with it.
I have shared all kinds of Chalk Couture projects on my Facebook page, here on the blog, my YouTube channel and Instagram. You can follow along with me on any of those platforms to see my love for Chalk Couture.

Im thinking about ordering the starter kit for personal use and the discount. Am I required to have a website? Can I add the website later on if I decide I want to build a business?
You don’t need a website. Yes, you could add one later.
