I am having the most fun with Chalk Couture and even more fun with the home decor I am creating. For this kitchen chalkboard sign, I was inspired by the ornate frame I picked up at a yard sale this summer. I wanted to make a fun Chalk Couture sign to put inside the frame.
Supplies Used To Create This Kitchen Chalkboard Sign:
I asked Matt to cut a piece of thin plywood to fit inside the frame. I painted the plywood a few coats of black chalkboard paint. When it dried, it was time to put the Farmers Market Transfer on the plywood and make the sign. I chose to use white Chalkology Paste for the words and the teal paste for the rooster.
I love the finished project. This kitchen chalkboard sign would be cute in any kitchen and the best part is that I can use a damp cloth and wipe this away when I want to change this sign. I love changing things up for different seasons and holidays, but I love this Farmers Market sign so much so I don’t know if I will change this one or just look for a new frame so we can create an entirely new sign all together.
With all of the Chalk Couture projects I have shared so far, I created a short video to show you the easy process of making this kitchen chalkboard sign:
I hope the Chalk Couture projects I am sharing are inspiring you to give it a try. With the holidays coming up, there are so many seasonal transfers that you could literally make all of your gifts this year. I will be sharing different ways to get Chalk Couture products in a post soon! As always, if you ever have any questions, email me or leave them in the comments below.
