A Very Merry Christmas Tour

3 Mins read

Another Merry Christmas Tour on the schedule today!

I am compiling some of the posts I have written this holiday season in this post so you can easily find them in one spot. The exciting part of this Merry Christmas Tour is the GIVEAWAY at the end of this post.

I have shared many parts of our home already on the blog. It is fun to come up with new ways to add the Christmas season to our home every year. I remember when I was growing up and we would bring out the Christmas boxes to decorate. We knew where every piece went. We put them in the same spot every year.

That doesn’t happen around here. HAHA! I change it up every year. New things come in and I get rid of a lot every year. I get bored easily with home decor and like to change it up all the time. (Thank goodness my day job supports that problem. 🙂 )

I have shared many Christmas decor ideas already this year. I shared how I decorate with natural looking artificial greenery inexpensivelyThere is no reason to spend a ton of money on greenery and if you don’t have access to the real stuff, these tips will give you the look without breaking the bank.

I shared our living room area in my Christmas Tour with Kirklands. Kirklands has so many great options for bringing the season into your home. I found some great pieces that I will be able to use all year round too. Any time I can find decor that is versatile like that, I feel better about the purchase.

How To Get Your Christmas Home Decor Ready For The Holidays

Our entry table Christmas tour started off with a 25¢ board I found at a yard sale. The rest of the display was built around that board.

We have a tiny entry nook in our back porch. It is the entry we use every day and I shared easy tips for decorating a small entry for the holidays.

Small Entry Christmas Decor

Yesterday, I shared how I brought Christmas into our back porch. I kept it simple and “outdoorsy” out there. Being able to use the back porch during the winter means I get an extra space to decorate (which I am not mad about.) :-)

We also love to use our family room in the lower level during the winter months. The built-ins we added a few years ago are a blast to decorate and having a mantel is a plus when decorating for a Merry Christmas Tour.

I told Matt that I think after we get the duplex done (we recently bought a duplex that we are fixing up and getting ready to rent), I want to change up some things in the family room. He never frets about these talks. I think that’s because they happen all the time and he likes a makeover as much as I do. PHEW! #thankful
