This Spring Cleaning Tips post was made possible by iConnect and Mr. Clean. I was provided compensation to facilitate this post, but all opinions stated are 100% mine.
I don’t know about you, but the long winters always make me a little stir crazy and begging for spring weather to arrive so I can start cleaning and organizing. It never fails, every March and April, I start craving simplicity and order. I can’t function with a big mess or too much stuff around me.
At the end of March, I got really sick and was out of commission for a week. Since my spring cleaning routine has been pushed back, I have never been more ready to get started. Over the years, I have learned many lessons when it comes to cleaning. I am a little obsessive about so I have a few tips that always keep the process running smoothly and on track.
5 Spring Cleaning Tips To Make The Job Easier:
- Start Small:
Spring cleaning the entire house at once is overwhelming and most of the time you quit halfway through. Instead of tackling it all in one day, start with one room at a time. I always start with our back porch. It is the room we will spend most of the time in when it gets nicer, but it is a room that doesn’t have a ton of stuff in it so I am not starting big right off the bat.
- Give Yourself A Goal And Stick To It:
If you give yourself a goal, you will be more apt to stick to it. Instead of saying, “I am going to clean today”, be more specific and write down the actual tasks you want to get done (i.e. organize the kitchen cabinets, dust, clean the window sills, etc.). Setting a feasible goal that you can get done in the amount of time you have will ensure all the spring cleaning gets done.
- Host A Spring Yard Sale:
This is a big one for me. We host a neighborhood spring and fall yard sale each year. For me, it is a huge motivator to get things cleaned out and organized.
- Use Effective Cleaning Supplies:
I don’t know where I would be without my Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. Seriously. I use them for EVERYTHING. When I cleaned the porch, I found so many areas that needed Mr. Clean Eraser’s attention.
Whether you’re spring cleaning or handling everyday messes, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is tough on dirt, grease and grime all around the house. It brings the muscle so you don’t have to, for a spring clean that saves you time and effort.
Mr. Clean released a video with HGTV host and former Bachelorette Jillian Harris to share her dirty little secret when it comes to cleaning.
- Get The Entire Family Involved:
I used to do all the cleaning and purging on my own. Not anymore. I get the entire family involved in areas they can help. Not only does it lighten the load for me, but it also teaches my kids the importance of keeping a clean home and getting rid of things you aren’t using anymore.
Sticking to the 5 Tips For Making Spring Cleaning Easier means that you have more time to sit back and relax in your clean home. You will always have things to clean and if you stay on top of it, over time it gets less and less of a chore and a lot easier to get done.
